Otherwise occupied...

Being parents to a three month old baby is hard work! We haven't done much with Oliver Pictures lately, but don't forget about us - photography is still such a huge part of both of our lives!

Keep up with Milo and see recent photos on his blog.

Enzo loves my new lens

I got a new lens a few weeks ago (fixed 50mm, 1.4) and used Enzo as my model... per usual. As you can tell, he loves it.

Bad blogger

I haven't posted in two weeks - so bad! I will try and post some in the next several days ... my buddy Sammie is having her birthday weekend and we should have some fun photos!

Texas Stories... Brizell Compound

Chris and I are in Texas for a week visiting Austin, the Dallas area, and East Texas.

My parents have lake property south of Ft. Worth and plan on building their dream house there over the next several years. Here are some shots from the city nearby (Grandbury), their land, and my husband and brother on the ATV (I rode as well, but no photos)...

Prom 1984

Two of my close friends, Sammie and Jacob, went to an 80's prom last night and I was the yearbook photographer selected for this event...
I jammed all afternoon to 80's music getting the photos for these two posts together!

Sneak Preview: Barry and Susan

Chris and I photographed our close friends, Barry and Susan, last weekend while they were in NY for a visit. They are getting married this fall in Austin.

We wanted to give you a sneak peak of the photos to come... This is by far the best shot of day; we feel that it really captures their love for each other.

Spring via iphone

I have been wanting to photograph the daffodils in the park all week, but have not been with camera during daylight hours (work has been busy this week!) So, prepare yourself for the masterpiece that is my iphone daffodil photo!!

Daylight savings...

I am so happy that I can take photos in the park at 7:20pm with available light... Spring is on it's way!

As you can see from my recent posts, I am trying to be better about updating my blog - to keep friends and family, near and far, updated with my life. I hope to post at least once a week, so check back often!

Jacob Jiles and Eleanor Whitmore at Pete's

I had a great music-filled Saturday night, with Eleanor Whitmore and Jacob Jiles (with a little help from Ishaq Clayton) playing at Pete's Candy Store in Brooklyn. An amazing venue, amazing music, and amazing friends...

Visit to Montreal: PJ

I am finally beginning to catch up on posting some photos from the past month. Chris and I made a trip up to Montreal to visit the Mocklers and I of course had to take some photos of PJ! Current obsessions - trampolines, sparkle "tap" shoes, and Uncle Chris.

I will post some photos soon from Pete's Candy Store this past weekend.

Snow Day!

I got an unexpected surprise day off yesterday, because of the awesome winter storm that has hit the north east! Here are some photos (with the point and shoot) of the huge amounts of snow that hit us (over 8 inches)!

Enzo is really loving the snow (he loves chasing you and eats the snow), but doesn't like that it is cold!

Winter in New York

We have really enjoyed the snow storms in the last few weeks and I finally took some shots of our winter weather this morning (with my photo assistant, Enzo).

(Enzo is wondering why I am taking so long when it is below 30 degrees)
