Great news!

After a 3 month plus job search, I am excited to announce I have a new job as a Senior Graphic Designer starting next week! I can't wait and am so excited about a new creative opportunity!!

My lovely husband, Chris, turns 30 today... finally I am not the only 30 year old in our house! I love you so much and can't wait to spend your birthday weekend with you.

I am trying to get some projects done, get the house together before my parents (and Sammie) get here in a few days... I will try and get some good shots of my family's adventures in New York up next week!!

Exploring New York: 5 Pointz

Today, my good friend Amy B took me to a great place to take photos. We are planning on having "photo dates" about every week-ish, so we can explore the city (check back for postings)!

5 Pointz is a living collage of graffiti art covering a converted warehouse full of artist studios in Long Island City... AWESOME!!

This evening I got to listen to one of my best friends in the world, Ishaq, play in his band, Jacob Jiles. They played a cool bar in Brooklyn for the Brooklyn Royalty party, a new local fashion label. Love you Ishaq!

Chris and I made it to New York! We have an apartment in Greenpoint (move in this weekend) and I am on the job hunt! I went into the city today to take some photos, and of course, my camera battery was dead. Check back in a few days for some photos of my hood... Here is a quick one from my iPhone.
